Prime Minister meets People’s Assembly members representing Hama province

Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi on Monday discussed with members of the People’s Assembly representing Hama province the state of the services sector in the province, the obstacles facing the agricultural and industrial sectors there, and means of overcoming them in light of the rising number of people living in the province, which has received displaced citizens from other areas.

The meeting touched on mechanisms for enhancing the role of the relief committee and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in delivering humanitarian aid and relief to those in need, improving the performance of the health sector, providing the requirements of agricultural production, as well as the possibility of opening an office to handle the affairs of the families of martyrs.

Premier al-Halaqi stressed that the government spares no efforts when it comes to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in all provinces despite the circumstances of war, in addition to setting current and future plans for developing national economy and rehabilitating development projects in stable areas until other areas regain stability.

He clarified that the government seeks to establish new industries in all provinces according to their resources with the aim of achieving social and developmental stability, particularly in rural area.
