Minister Haidar meets delegation from Soran’s locals

Damascus, SANA- State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Dr. Ali Haidar affirmed on Wednesday that accomplishing the local reconciliation project in Soran city in Hama province should start with practical steps to allay the troubles of 60 thousands citizens who live in the city.

During his meeting with a delegation from Soran’s families attended by Akram Hawash and Ali Rustum, two members of the People’s Assembly’s National Reconciliation Committee, Haidar said that determining priorities in addressing reconciliation files should come after a comprehensive study of the conditions in the area and it differs from one area to another.

The minister pointed out that terrorism will backfire on its supporters, stressing the importance of transparency in handling the file of the missing as a part of local reconciliations which needs joint efforts from the government and local communities.

For their part, members of the delegation said that they became targets of terrorist groups but managed to confront them through their unity and cohesion.
