Damascus, SANA – Graduation ceremony for 71 students of the Faculty of Political Science in Damascus University was held at al-Bassel Auditorium in the Civil Engineering Faculty.
Vice-rector of Damascus University for Scientific Research and Higher Studies Affairs, Dr.Jamal Abba stressed the key role of the Faculty in supplying the homeland with qualified cadres who are able to defend the homeland at the international circles.
Dean of the Faculty of Political Science Ahmad Nasouri hailed the students’ determination to overcome all the challenges that facing their homeland, asserting that their success is a proof of their intention to contribute to upgrading the society.
A number of excellent students were honored during the ceremony.
The Higher Institute of the Political Science was established in 1979 by the legislative Decree No. 50 stipulating for the establishment of the Institute.
Later, the Faculty of the Political Science was established due to the law No. 4 for 2003 to replace the Institute. The Faculty grants BA at the Political science.
