Damascus, SANA- With the participation of 14 charitable societies and a number of Syrian companies, a three- day charitable bazaar was opened on Tuesday at Sheraton hotel in Damascus.
Ammar al-Abras, one of the bazaar’s organizers said that the bazaar aims at giving a room for the participants, especially traders “who lost their shops due to the crisis” and housewives through their hand-made materials to market their products and give an idea about them to the visitors.
He added that the bazaar is an opportunity for social communication between the participant companies and societies.
Assistant Tourism Minister, Reda Zeyadeh, for her part pointed out that Ministry of Tourism sponsors such activities to activate the inter tourism and develop the handmade crafts, asserting that the large turnout that such an activity witnesses reflects determination of the Syrians to continue life “in spite of the difficult circumstances they
have been coming through.”
The bazaar includes handmade crafts and products made of wool, tapestries, accessories, clothes and
food materials.
