ISIS terrorists attack al-Haqaf village in Sweida, kill 6 residents

Sweida/Damascus, SANA – An attack by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization against al-Haqaf village in Sweida left six civilians dead, including a woman.

Groups of ISIS terrorists attempted after Monday midnight to block the road between al-Haqaf and al-Bouthaineh villages, located in the northeastern countryside of the southern province, and attacked the residents, killing six people, including a woman, a source in the province told SANA.

The army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, confronted the assailants and killed six of them, while dozens of others were left wounded.

The source noted that among the dead were two Chechen and Saudi terrorists.

Some of the equipment which the terrorists used in their attack against the village were destroyed, including 3 mortar launchers and two vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns.

Al-Haqaf village is located near al-Qasr village where ISIS terrorists spread and launch attacks against neighboring areas.

Two civilians injured in terrorist mortar attack in Damascus

Two civilians were injured in terrorist mortar attack on al-Faihaa Sports City in Damascus, the Police said.

Terrorists fired two mortar shells that hit al-Faihaa Sports City, leaving two citizens injured and causing material damage in the parking lot, a Police source told SANA.
