Damascus, SANA – Syrian gymnast Firas Bahlawan won the fourth place in the International Gymnastics Tournament that wrapped up on Sunday in Petersburg, Russia.
Firas, who is member of Syria’s national gymnastics team, reached the finals in still rings and pommel horse competitions. He came fourth in the former and fifth in the latter.
Mohammad Khalil and Yazan Sleiman also played in the competitions, but did not achieve any significant results.
Teams from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Sweden, Germany, Norway and Belarus competed in the tournament.
Gymnast Fadi Bahlawan won the bronze medal in pommel horse at the same tournament last year.
