Homs, SANA- Homs Governor, Talal Barazi affirmed the important role played by the UN organizations, in cooperation with the state institutions, to help rebuild populated neighborhoods which were sabotaged by acts of terrorist organizations.
Barazi, , meeting Head of the UN Human Settlements’ Program mission in Syria, Sella De Vriksa, hailed the Program’s efforts to help reconstruct cities and return the displaced families displaced to their home.
He briefed the mission on the situation in Homs province regarding security and stability achieved by the Syrian Arab army and its continuous efforts to defeat terrorists and continue national reconciliations.
De Vriska, for his part, said that the situation in Homs was evaluated while touring and visiting many regions in the city, putting a vision on the reality of services which will be provided by the program to the residents of the city.
He pointed out that the program will work to support economy, prepare new mechanism to assess the damages according to international standards and rehabilitate the affected neighborhoods with the help of Syrian distinguished engineering expertise.
