Cairo, SANA – Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese called for realizing peace in Syria and the countries of the region.
Chairing the Orthodox Easter mass at St. Mark Cathedral in Cairo on Sunday, Pope Tawadros II said that we pray for our homeland and the homelands which are suffering, the injured homelands, and for our brothers in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Libya and for everyone.
Christian denominations , who follow the Eastern calendar celebrated Sunday Easter, while in Syria they have limited the celebrations only by holding prayers and masses in respect for Syria’s martyrs.
