Damascus, SANA- As part of its plan to restore the splendor and charm of Mount Qasioun, the Damascus Governorate has initiated rehabilitation works through a comprehensive study implemented by the governorate’s directorates.
The governorate announced on its Telegram channel Wednesday that the works include the creation of free public spaces tailored to community needs, a dedicated parking facility, the establishment of uniquely styled recreational areas, and the provision of various essential services.
It further explained that the general rehabilitation efforts will involve upgrading rainwater and sewage drainage networks, water and electricity systems, and maintaining sidewalks and asphalt layers. Additionally, the project includes the construction of retaining walls for terraces, the development of green spaces with an irrigation network, and the installation of lighting to suit the area’s unique nature.
