Damascus,SANA- Mohanad Bakara, a volunteer with the Syrian Red Crescent (SARC) won third place in the 2025 Best Humanitarian and Relief Work Photography Contest, organized by the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization.
Mohanad participated with a photo of a paramedic cradling an infant while transporting him from Douma town to a hospital in Damascus for further treatment.
Munther Al-Hamidi, media officer at the Jordanian Red Crescent, came in first place, while Ahmed Al-Mansour from the Saudi Red Crescent Authority came in second.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent, in a post on its telegram channel, stated that the competition was held under the slogan “Humanity with the eyes of an artist”.
The competition, which is supported by the Qatar Red Crescent, aims to enhance communication between national societies and highlight and document their humanitarian and relief role.
