Al-Jalali discusses with Indian Ambassador ways to enhance bilateral cooperation

Damascus-SANA- Prime Minister Muhammad Ghazi Al-Jalali discussed today with the Ambassador of India to Damascus Irshad Ahmed ways to enhance relations between the two countries in various fields and continue cooperation and coordination in international forums to serve the issues of the two countries.

Premier al-Jalali expressed the Syrian government’s keenness to develop bilateral relations and open new horizons for them in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples and countries, follow up on cooperation files, reactivate joint projects, and study all possibilities to develop cooperation, pointing out the importance of enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, research, agriculture, technology, construction, energy, and air transport, and benefiting from Indian expertise in the field of technical institutes, in addition to exchanging exports and bartering goods needed by the markets of the two countries.

The Indian Ambassador, for his part, stressed his country’s desire to increase cooperation and joint activities and enhance joint work in the fields of technology, agricultural mechanization, scholarships provided to Syrian students, and training government cadres, stressing that the bilateral relations based on mutual respect between India and Syria establish a new phase of cooperation that will benefit both sides.
