Damascus, SANA- Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister, Major Gen. Ali Mahmoud Abbas, stressed that the heroic Syrian Arab Army stands with determination and insistence to confront the colonial project targeting Syria and the region, and will be able to achieve victory over terrorism, its tools and supporters, and restore security and stability to our homeland.
Speaking to Syrian television on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the foundation of the Syrian Arab Army, he saluted the men of Arab Army in all their positions and extended his greetings of appreciation and respect to the families of the martyrs and the wounded of armed forces.
Minister of Defense pointed out that our valiant army was able to thwart all attempts aimed at undermining Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and the dignity of its people.
Forces supporting terrorism are still continuing their aggression and plundering Syria’s wealth of oil, wheat, antiquities and other materials, and they are working hard to obstruct the mission of the Syrian Arab Army in eliminating terrorism and restoring all occupied areas, Abbas said
