Mikdad discusses with Khodr projects supported by UNICEF in Syria

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad, met Adele Khodr, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa

The two sides discussed projects supported by UNICEF in Syrian governorates, including the rehabilitation and restoration of schools and health institutions.

Minister Mikdad underlined the importance of global efforts to address the profound consequences of the terrorist war and the inhumane economic sanctions imposed by Western countries on different sectors in Syria.

For her part, Khodr expressed her gratitude for the great cooperation and important facilities provided by the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic to UNICEF, which contributes to implementing and developing its projects in Syria.
