Tehran-SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reiterated his country’s determination to punish the Zionist entity for its attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
During a phone call on Thursday with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Abdollahian stressed that targeting diplomatic sites is a violation of international law that entails legitimate defense.
“When the Zionist entity endangers the immunity of persons and diplomatic sites in violation of international law, legitimate defense with the aim of punishing the aggressor becomes a necessity”, Abdollahian noted.
Minister Abdollahian stressed that his country’s foreign policy has always been based on avoiding tensions, adding that Iran expects Germany to clearly condemn the latest crime committed by the Zionist entity.
