Beirut, SANA – Syria’s Al Jaish football club on Wednesday won against Lebanon’s Nejmeh club 1-0 in the club’s second match of the Group D matches of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup.
The goal was scored at the 87 minutes mark by Abdellatif Salqini, and with it Al Jaish secured the win and 3 more points, putting him at the lead in Group D with 6 points pending the result of the upcoming match between Kuwait’s Kuwait club and Bahrain’s Riffa.
Al Jaish’s third and final match in the group stage will take place next Wednesday against Kuwait, the strongest team in the group.
