Damascus, SANA- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Fayssal Mikdad received Thursday the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Acting Humanitarian Coordinator for Syria, El- Mostafa Benlamlih, at the end of his mission in Syria.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the projects and activities carried out by the United Nations in Syria, affirming the success of joint efforts in various areas. They also stressed that implementing early recovery projects should be achieved in light of UN Resolution 2642.
Minister Mikdad expressed appreciation and gratitude for Benlamlih’s efforts while serving as Resident Coordinator in Damascus, wishing him success and prosperity in his new duties.
Resident Coordinator Benlamlih, for his part, voiced his appreciation to the Syrian government and the concerned authorities for providing support and facilities to the performance of his duties during his tenure, especially on the immediate earthquake response plan for Syria.
