Damascus, SANA- The 2nd International Conference on Building Engineering wrapped up Wednesday at Damascus University Auditorium, with many recommendations.
Participants in the conference recommended constructing permanent buildings with no need to regular maintenance, besides activating energy-based seismic design.
Participants also underlined the importance of using natural and recyclable materials and modern technologies to help rationalize resources.
Various issues have been emphasized as well: BIM automation, smart city planning, continuous research to create smart cities, and using Artificial Intelligence in Predicting Earthquakes.
The Conference started activities on Monday organized by the Higher Institute for Seismic Research and Studies at Damascus University.
