Tehran, SANA- Member of the People’s Assembly and deputy head of Iran-Syria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Dr. Haifa Juma’a discussed Wednesday with Iranian Health Minister Bahram Einollahi means of boosting cooperation in health field and the exchange of therapeutic medical applications between the two countries.
The Syrian MP asserted the necessity of cooperation in medical and therapeutic areas in addition to the reconstruction of healthcare infrastructure damaged by acts of terrorism.
“Syrian People’s Assembly is ready to cooperate with the Islamic Consultative Assembly in order to enact laws and legislations to speed up the implementation process of signed agreements for addressing impacts of the economic blockade against both countries,” Juma’a said.
Minister Einollahi, for his part, affirmed his country’s willingness to cooperate with Syria and set up a committee of Syrian and Iranian MPs to activate the previously signed agreements for fostering ties of friendship and rehabilitating and training human resources in the health and technology fields.
Juma’a has also held talks with Iran’s Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Ensieh Khazali and exchanged views on women’s rights issues, and various challenges in this regard.
