Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates’ Ministry held on Thursday a farewell ceremony for the Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus, Fabio Vaz Pitaluga who ended his mission as the country’s ambassador to Syria.
Ambassador Pitaluga expressed appreciation and gratitude to President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian government and people, and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their cooperation with him to complete his mission as ambassador of his country to Syria.
The Ambassador hailed the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army in the face of terrorism which poses threats to the whole world, hoping more stability and prosperity would be achieved in Syria.
For his part, Assistant Foreign Minister, Ayman Sousan, affirmed willingness of the two countries to consolidate the bonds of cooperation between them, noting that Ambassador Pitaluga was distinguished by his giving and enthusiasm to serve the relations between the two countries.
In a statement to reporters, Ambassador Petaluka stressed that there is a great opportunity to expand and develop relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the cultural field.
