Damascus, SANA-People’s Assembly said that Martyrs of May 6th, 1916 have been the momentum to found the era of resistance and martyrdom, as they faced death with courage, and consolidated vivid pillar of Syrian people’s ability to bear difficulties and achieve the holiest purposes and victory all over the homeland.
The People’s Assembly told SANA in a statement on the 106th anniversary of the Martyrs’ Day that the Syrian people’s celebration of this great event come to glorify and commemorate those who defended the homeland and its sovereignty to obtain freedom and the independence.
“May 6th anniversary will remain immortal in the memory of generations and a motivation for the freedom-fighters and strugglers,” the People’s Assembly said, appreciating the sacrifices offered by the martyrs of Syria until completing the reconstruction process led by President Bashar al-Assad.
It considered that today’s battle is the same as yesterday’s battle, Syria has been subjected to more than ten years to the worst forms of wars, blockades and aggression by the forces of evil and global terrorism.
