Lavrov calls for eliminating terrorism in Idleb

Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, affirmed that the terrorist organizations in Idleb continue their attacks and must be eliminated completely.

Lavrov, during a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart. Sameh Shoukry in Moscow, referred to the need for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria that respects its sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with UN Resolution No, 2254.

He stressed rejection of any attempt to politicize the file of delivering humanitarian aid to Syria.

As for the presence of foreign forces on Syrian territory, Lavrov said that according to Resolution No. 2254 adopted by Security Council, these forces have no right to exist on Syrian territory unless they upon a request by the Syrian government.

 For his part, Egyptian Foreign Minister underlined that Egypt considers Syria as an integral part of Arab national security, stressing the need to find a solution to the crisis in the country.
