Tartous, SANA – Tartous Directorate of Agriculture planted 400 pine, cedar and laurel saplings in al-Braj area, northeast of the province, during an event to celebrate Tree Day, which is observed on December 30 every year.
Another volunteer forestation campaign started in the Martyrs graveyards of Haret Harjin and Beit Baset villages, organized by the Municipality of Naqib town, in cooperation with the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Tartous.
The campaign will see the planting of up to 1000 pine and cypress saplings in the targeted areas.
