Two earthquakes, of 3.3 and 6.3 on Richter scale, hit northeastern city of Lattakia

Damascus, SANA –Two earthquakes of 3.3 and 3.6 on the Richter scale hit northeastern Lattakia city on Wednesday.

The National Earthquake Center said that an earthquake of 3.3 on Richter scale took place at 04:40 a.m. at a depth of 16 kilometers, 50 kilometers northeast of the city of Lattakia.

The Center added that another earthquake of 3.6 on Richter scale took place at 08:52 a.m. at a depth of 15 kilometers, 50 kilometers northeast of the city of Lattakia.

In 25th of August, The Center registered an earthquake of 3.1 on Richter scale at 25 km northwest of Hama city.
