Aleppo, SANA-Minister of State for Environment Affairs Nazira Sarkis said the ministry seeks to outline a strategy to contain the fallout from the current crisis on environment and to repair the damage it suffered due to the acts of terrorist organizations.
The minister was speaking during a symposium at Aleppo University on the pollution of the biosphere and its impacts on health.
The government has sought to incorporate the environmental dimension within the 11th 5-year plan and prepare environmental maps for Tartous, Sweida and Damascus countryside provinces.
“Environment is a shared heritage for humanity that is ought to be preserved,” said Deputy Rector of Aleppo University for Administrative Affairs Mustapha Afyouni.
