Beirut, SANA –Lebanese caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Charbel Wehbe on Friday discussed with Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdulkarim bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.
In a statement after meeting Minister Wehbe, Abdulkarim expressed commitment to coordination and integration between the two countries, hoping that Syria will win in its battle against terrorism.
He added that the Beirut port explosion was a terrible tragedy which affected Syria directly as well as Lebanon, stressing the necessity of strengthening cooperation to avoid any potential repercussions.
The Ambassador also affirmed Syria’s commitment to cooperating with Lebanese authorities to deliver aid to Lebanon sent by friendly countries via Syria.
