Damascus, SANA- Damascus Firefighting Brigade on Saturday evening managed to extinguish a fire that erupted in a warehouse for candy and related raw materials in the Buzurieh Souq “ancient market” in Damascus.
Commander of the firefighting brigade in al-Amin area in Damascus, brigadier general Ammar al-Jasem, in a statement to SANA, said that the fire has been contained as it hasn’t reached the neighboring shops.
Al-Jasem added that the reason behind the eruption of the fire hasn’t been known yet, and it caused only material damage and no human causalities were reported.
