Damascus, SANA- Syrian poets won three places among the first five in the “Free Jerusalem” international competition for eloquent poetry which was held on the occasion of World al-Quds Day and in support of the Palestinian cause and the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve their freedom and regain their land.
The competition was organized by the Resistance Foundation for Culture and Art in Iran through the Forum of Literary Resistance Approach in the Cyberspace.
Syria came first in the competition through poet Hassan al-Mar’ai in addition to wining the fourth and fifth places by poets Fares Daadoush and Helena Atallah, while the second and third positions went for poets Zeinab Hussein and Fatima al-Samhrani from Lebanon.
