Sweida, SANA-Brazilian Ambassador to Syria Fabio Vaz Pitaluga affirmed his country’s standing by Syria in the face of the unjust war waged against it, shedding light on the deep friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries and Brazil’s keenness on invigorating them in various spheres.
Visiting Sweida province on Sunday along with an accompanying delegation and meeting a number of official, religious and business figures, Pitaluga expressed his country’s confidence that peace will prevail in Syria and it will achieve victory over terrorism thanks to the solidarity between its people and leadership.
During separate meetings with Ambassador Pitaluga and the accompanying delegation, Sweida Governor Amer Ibrahim al-Ashi and a number of religious figures hailed Brazil’s stances in support of Syria in the face of the terrorist war and the unjust economic siege.
They asserted that the Syrian people through their steadfastness and their solidarity with their army and leadership and the support provided to them by their friends have been able to triumph over terrorism.
Ambassador Pitaluga and the accompanying delegation met Chairman of Sweida Chamber of Commerce and a number of the Chamber’s members.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed means to enhance trade relations benefiting from the available potentials and opportunities.
The delegation also visited the national museum in Sweida and they got acquainted with the showcased antiquities.
