Damascus, SANA-Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad discussed with regional Director of the Arab countries’ office at the UN Development Program (UNDP) Murad Wahbeh the cooperation between the Syrian government and the UNDP and its future plans in Syria.
Mikdad appreciated the standing cooperation between the government and the UNDP in its work fields, particularly the success achieved by programs related to environment and the success of cooperation with the Syrian government.
Wahbeh, for his part, said the UNDP has the desire to work in Syria and offer development solution to the humanitarian problems in a way that helps decrease the needs for the humanitarian aid and raise the Syrians’ capability of depending on themselves.
