Ports of Lattakia, Tartous, Banias Oil Drain re-opened after storm-forced closure

Lattaki, SANA_ The Ports of Lattakia, Tartous and Oil Drain of Banias Refinery were re-opened for maritime navigation Wednesday, three days after they were closed due to a heavy sea storm that hit the area .

Speaking to SANA reporter, Director of Ports Gen. Akram Ibrahim said that ports of Lattakia and Tartous and Oil Drain of Banyas Refinery  were re-opened for maritime navigation after that the low air pressure begun to recede.

He pointed out that no losses were recorded due to the precautionary measures had been taken before, which helped avoid any damages.

Syria has been affected since the beginning of this week by a polar low pressure where the wind speed exceeded  70 km/h and the sea waves were high.
