Moscow, SANA – The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the US accusations and its sanctions on Russian companies that work in Syria reveal that Washington wants to prevent the reconstruction of the country.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry said that accusations about supplying petroleum to Syria, which has been fighting terrorism for more than seven years, seems like a statement of support for terrorists, and it also shows the US’ desire to prevent the reconstruction of the war-torn country.
The Ministry said that the real reason for the sanctions is related to the internal political conflict in the US, which prompts every side to try and score points by an means possible, which leads them to taking reckless actions on the international levels.
The US imposed on Tuesday sanctions against the Russian companies Global Vision Group and Promsyrioimport for operating in Syria.
