Damascus, SANA – Syrian Cartoonist Raed Khalil won the Special Prize at Spirito di Vino 19th International Competition for Cartoonists recently held in Italy.
The winning painting provided unique insight into life from contemplative perspective as it depicted an old man who tries to cross from one bank to another without any help but his footsteps left traces in the middle of the way.
The theme of the painting sheds light on those who passed away leaving their works as witness to their achievements.
