Putin: Combatting terrorism operation in Syria has achieved its objectives

Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that a major blow was dealt to terrorism in Syria and combating terrorism has achieved its objectives.

In a speech delivered at the Valdai Discussion Club session on Thursday, Putin said that the participation of the Russian Air Force in the military operations in Syria aims to eliminate the global terrorism that threatens Syria, the region, Russia and the entire world.

He pointed out that the Russian Air Force has contributed, along the Syrian Arab Army, to the return of many areas to the sovereignty of the Syrian state.

Commenting on Sochi agreement on Idleb, Putin said that the Turkish side has not fulfilled all its obligations under this agreement.
