Tehran, SANA- Head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Kamal Kharazi stressed that the support provided by the US and by some western states and Arab regimes to the terrorist organizations is the main reason behind the continuation of the crisis in Syria.
During a meeting with a delegation from German Berghof Committee on Tuesday, Kharazi said that the US and the Saudi regime are the major supporters of the terrorist organizations in Syria and they must stop this support.
He indicated that Iran’s advisory presence in Syria came after a request by the legitimate government in it.
Kharazi added that in light of these circumstances, all the states should support the political initiatives to solve the crisis in Syria, noting that Iran will continue cooperation and efforts on this level.
He considered that Astana track has played an effective role on the road of solving the crisis in Syria; therefore, all parties should support this track.
