Governor of Lattakia discusses cooperation with Vice-President of the ICRC

Lattakia, SANA- Governor of Lattakia Ibrahim Khudr al-Salem discussed with Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) John Nicolas cooperation prospects in fields of relief and restoration of houses and schools to facilitate the return of displaced people to their homes and villages.

Al-Salem reviewed the situation of the services provided in the province in various service sectors to all citizens, including those displaced from other provinces.

The Governor said that the damaged houses and schools in the northern countryside have been repaired to facilitate the return of the families, expressing readiness for cooperation and collaboration with Committee in all endeavors that would contribute to the return of the displaced to their areas.

In turn, Nicolas expressed the ICRC’s willingness to collaborate in the field of providing aid to the displaced and facilitate their return to their homes, in addition to cooperation in other fields, such as water, health, and relief work, detailing the nature of the Committee’s work in humanitarian and relief domains.
