Mahardah Charity Society holds art and handicrafts exhibition

Hama, SANA –An exhibition titled “Joy and Peace” was held in the town of Mahardah on Saturday, organized by Mahardah Charity Society.

The exhibition showcased artwork by 30 young talents and handicrafts made of recycled waste and damaged materials.

The participants represented through their sculptures and paintings their love for their homeland and their appreciation of the Syrian Arab Army, pointing out that they wanted their work to take art outside of closed galleries and into the street and to showcase sculptures made of the remnants of shells fired by terrorists on their town.

In statement to SANA, Chairman of the Society Habib Fallaha said that the exhibition’s theme relied on recycling the remnants of war and creating different works of art to reflect the town’s resilience and hope.
