New Delhi, SANA – Syrian Ambassador in India Riyad Abbas asserted on Friday in meetings with the biggest Indian companies’ officials the necessity of strengthening the economic relations between India and Syria and exchanging ideas concerning the participation of New Delhi in the reconstruction process in Syria.
During the meetings, which took place on the sideline of a conference sponsored by the Indian economical giant Tata Group, Abbas reviewed the aspects and prospects of the Syrian-Indian relations and the importance of heading east.
The Ambassador told SANA’s reporter that Syria gives a great importance to the Indian role in the future of international relations.
Abbas also voiced appreciation for the Indian government and people for their positive position in facing Western countries’ agendas against Syria.
