Provinces, SANA – Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with the resistance, continued pursing Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in al-Qalamoun al-Gharabi in Damascus Countryside, breaching the terrorists’ defenses and inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
A military source told SANA that after fierce battles, army units, in cooperation with the resistance, breached on Saturday the main line of defense for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the direction of Jroud Fleiteh in al-Qalamoun al-Gharabi.
The source said that the terrorists’ defenses are in a state of complete collapse, as the intensive strikes of the army and the resistance inflicted heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment, forcing the terrorist groups to raise white flags to surrender.
The source added that the army units are continuing their operations, pursing the remnants of al-Nusra in the area.
Raqqa
Syrian Arab Army units continued to advance in the direction of Raqqa, establishing control over the town of al-Dakhila and al-Sabkhawi well and gas field in the southern countryside of Raqqa province.
A military source told SANA that the army’s operations in these areas resulted in killing many terrorists and destroying their car bombs and machinegun-equipped vehicles, and that army units continue to pursue the remaining ISIS terrorists in al-Badiya area in the direction of Raqqa.
Earlier the source said that the Syrian Air Force carried out intensive airstrikes targeting ISIS supply routes and gatherings in Ma’adan city and Beir al-Sabkhawai village in the southeastern countryside of Raqqa province.
The airstrikes left many ISIS terrorists dead and destroyed a number of positions, vehicles and heavy machineguns belonging to the terrorists.
It should be noted that the Syrian Arab Army opened during the past 2 days four humanitarian corridors for the safe evacuation and rescue of civilians from Raqqa.
Homs
The Syrian Air Force conducted a number of airstrikes against dens and positions of ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
A military source told SANA that the airstrikes targeted positions of ISIS terrorists to the west of Um al-Rish village and in the village of Shandakhyiat Ghunaiman in the eastern countryside, destroying a number of their positions and vehicles and killing and injuring scores of them.
Deir Ezzor
The Syrian Air Force destroyed ISIS terrorists’ gatherings in the neighborhood of al-Kannamat and at the surrounding of the Panorama area in Deir Ezzor.
SANA’s reporter said that army units clashed with ISIS terrorists on the southern axis in al-Maqaber, the Panorama, the surrounding of the Airport, al-Roshdiya and al-Heiqa where many of the terrorists were either killed or injured.
The army also destroyed makeshift equipment for refining oil stolen by ISIS from the wells of Boqros in eastern Deir Ezzor, killing many terrorists in the process.
Local sources in Deir Ezzor countryside confirmed that several ISIS terrorists have fled during the past 24 hours including the “Emir of Electricity” in al-Kher District “Abu Bis al-Khabouri” and the terrorist in charge of water affairs in al-Baseera village Ahmad al-Ali, in addition to two security members Hussein al-Mohammad and Karim al-Mohammad.
