Hasaka Governor, UN Resident Coordinator discuss enhancing support in humanitarian and development sectors

Hasaka, SANA – Hasaka Governor Jayez al-Moussa discussed on Tuesday with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Syria Ali al-Zaatari means to enhance bilateral cooperation and increase support to the province through a joint plan, especially in the humanitarian and development sectors.

The Governor explained the negative impact of the siege imposed by terrorist groups on the citizens’ lives, calling on increasing the volume of aid and active contribution in order to provide all that contributes to alleviate the suffering of the people of the province and the displaced families as well.

In turn, al-Zaatari highlighted the facilitations provided by the Governorate to ensure the work of the UN team through overcoming all difficulties and ensuring the passage of humanitarian aid in all its areas, pointing out that the aim of this meeting is to develop a joint plan to identify the needs of Hasaka province and what can be provided to it.

He pointed to the great humanitarian effort exerted by the UN team in the province to alleviate the suffering of displaced people and the residents of Hasaka province, adding that work will be done in cooperation with the Governorate to overcome the shortage of services in some camps.
