Astana, SANA – The Kazakh Foreign Ministry on Monday announced that the next Astana meeting on Syria has been scheduled for July 4- 5.
In a statement to journalists in the Kazakh capital, Head of Media Department at the ministry, Anwar Jaynakov, said that the date of the new round has been agreed upon by the Kazakh, Russian, Iranian and Turkish foreign ministries.
Jaynakov added that guarantor states of the cessation of hostilities in Syria will study documents regulating the establishment of de-escalation zones, indicating that “the participants plan to discuss the situation in Syria, the process of abiding by agreements reached during previous rounds of talks in Astana, including the creation of de- escalation zones in Syria.”
The meeting will handle problems of delivering humanitarian aid and rebuilding the infrastructure within the framework of the memorandum signed in this regard.
