Daraa, SANA – 16 thousands food packages were delivered Monday to 16 towns and villages in the Western countryside of Daraa.
The move was sponsored by the Syrian government in cooperation with Syrian Arab Red Crescent and a number of international organizations.
Daraa governor Mohammad Khalid al-Hanous said that the relief convoy consists of 8 thousand food packages and 8 thousand health ones, pointing out that the government offers all needed facilitation to alleviate the citizens’ suffering.
For his part, director of the Red Crescent in Daraa Ahmad al-Masalmeh said that the organization allocates 30 volunteers to help deliver aid to people in need.
Last week, 15 trucks loaded with 4 thousand food and health packages were delivered to the western countryside of Daraa.
