Passing rate in primary education exams is 74.44

Damascus, (SANA) Some 240,383 students passed primary education certificate exams as results came up Saturday.

Minister of Education Hazwan al-Wazz noted in a press conference that 322.902 had taken the exams, putting the examination passing rate at 74.44 percent.

Eight students got full marks of 3100 and those are from Damascus, Homs, Hama and Lattakia, while 17,884 students got 2790 marks and above, according to the Minister.

He revealed that the Ministry is studying a mechanism to hold another exam session for students who failed to reach exam centers in some areas being blocked by the armed terrorist groups.
