Hasaka, SANA – A new batch of food aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) arrived at Qamishli International Airport on Sunday via the air bridge that transports aid from Damascus International Airport to Hasaka province.
In a statement to SANA, Director of the WFP Office in Qamishli Afra Nouh said that the aid includes 1981 packages of heavy clothes for UNICEF, 910 food packages, 910 bags of rice, and 273 packages of vegetable oil.
She affirmed that food aid delivery to Hasaka will continue via the air bridge until completing the January Plan, which includes the delivery of 35,000 food packages, in addition to transferring non-food aid for a number of international organizations in the Province.
279 flights transporting aid have arrived in Hasaka province since the air bridge began operations on last July.
