Aleppo, SANA – The circumstances in Aleppo are ripe for national reconciliation initiatives, Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs at the caretaker government Ali Haidar said on Saturday.
During a meeting with popular, official and civil sides from Aleppo, Haidar said the reconciliation should be led by the people of Aleppo, in the city and countryside, stressing that the Ministry is following up with every sincere patriotic effort to make the national reconciliation process a success.
For his part, Aleppo Governor Mohammad Wahid Aqqad said that the people of Aleppo, who have suffered a lot from the acts of terrorists, are resolved to confront terrorism and defend the homeland, adding that the Governorate has supported every initiative and suggestion that was in the interest of reaching reconciliation.
In turn, Dr. Fahmi Hassan, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, said Aleppo looks forward to achieving victory over terrorism and making the national reconciliation process a success, adding that all members of the parliament support any effort that could contribute to this process.
