Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will slightly rise to become around or slightly above average as the country is affected by a high air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, warning of frost on the mountainous heights and fog the inland areas.
The winds will be westerly to southwesterly of low to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of low to moderate amplitude.
During the past two days, heavy rainfalls fell in several provinces across the country, the heist of which was in al-Nassira area in Homs central province recording 85 mm of rainfall.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 16/06, Daraa 15/09, Homs 12/07, Hama 14/09, Lattakia 17/14, Aleppo 11/06 and Deir Ezzor 15/08.
