Mobile clinics head to Qudsayya and al-Hameh soon, health minister says

Damascus, SANA-Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi said health services will be restored gradually to Qudssaya and al-Hameh, two towns in Damascus countryside that have recently been cleared of gunmen and arms.

The minister’s remarks came during his visit Saturday to inspect the health services in the two towns.

The minister said that Damascus Health Directorate will be sending mobile clinics to Qudssaya and al-Hameh to provide healthcare services pending the rehabilitation of damaged health infrastructure that suffered significant damage and pillage by armed groups.

He vowed that all necessary measures will be taken to meet the need of the health sector in the two towns, with focus on the most vulnerable categories: especially women, children and the elderly.
