Moscow, SANA-Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that two Russian soldiers were injured when terrorist organizations shelled the humanitarian corridor in al-Castello north of Aleppo city.
The ministry said, in a statement, that two Russian officers working for the Russian Coordination Center at Hmeimim were injured with shrapnel of rocket shells that were fired by terrorists on al-Castello corridor.
“The soldiers were promptly evacuated to a safe part of the city and treated for their injuries. Their lives are not in danger,” the ministry added.
“The shelling involved gas cylinder projectiles fired from improvised rocket launchers and mortar fire,” the ministry noted, adding that the shelling of the corridor also forced Russia’s Defense Ministry to terminate its live video feed from the area in addition to the evacuation of some 50 journalists from the area.
