Relief aid arrives to Hasaka via the airlift

Hasaka, SANA- A new batch of humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) arrived on Wednesday to Qamishli International Airport through the air lift that carries aid from Damascus International Airport.

Head of WFP office in Qamishli Afraa Nouh told SANA reporter that the aid includes 5000 carpets and 200 water storage containers allocated to be distributed by the the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).

She pointed out that last night, two shipments arrived via the airlift, adding that they included 490 family tents, 930 food packages, 930 rice bags and 558 packages of vegetable oils.

Nouh said that these substances will be delivered to the offices of the international organizations operating in Qamishli city and the offices will distribute them later to the needy families in Hasaka areas and the families who arrived from other provinces.
