Sweida, SANA – The authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle a truck loaded with 75 gas cylinders and deliver it to the eastern countryside of Sweida province where ISIS-linked terrorist groups are operating.
The operation, in which the truck was ambushed, was carried out in cooperation with the locals of the area and the Governorate, Director of the Fuel Department in Sweida Khaled Tayfour told SANA reporter.
He noted that the truck was seized and the driver was arrested, adding that investigations have been started to find out those involved in the smuggling operation.
