40 Syrian companies participate in Tehran Textile Expo

Damascus, SANA- the Syrian Exporters’ Union and Damascus Chamber of Industry, in cooperation with the Commission of Supporting and Developing the Local Production and Exports, are participating in Tehran International Textile Expo which will open today with the participation of a large number of textile companies from most countries of the world.

Chairman of the Union Mohammad al-Sawwah told SANA that the expo represents an economic event that could support the textile industry in Syria, indicating that 40 Syrian national companies are participating in the expo.

Al-Sawwah added that the door is open before the Syrian textile industry for circulation in Iranian markets with high competitiveness.

He indicated that the clear government support and overcoming all the obstacles hindering the cooperation with the friendly countries would put the Syrian industry in a new stage of commercial and investment cooperation with these countries,
particularly Iran.

Al-Sawwah referred to the efforts exerted by the Exporters Union as an active economic institution in the local economic activity, particularly in the domain of providing services that would support and increase the local exports to the
regional and international markets.

The Syrian Exporters Union has recently opened a center for the Syrian exports in Tehran and put it into the service of the Syrian exporters to help them promote their products at the Iranian markets and to know their needs of the Syrian products.
